Banana Bliss Mocktail
I created this recipe while sharing a moment with my sister, who had a sudden fascination with Bananas Foster. Inspired by her curiosity, I crafted a non-alcoholic twist to capture the delightful flavors of Bananas Foster. The aromatic blend of Seedlip Spice 94, with hints of cardamom and allspice, pairs perfectly with the brown sugar-banana syrup, creating a truly harmonious drink. Instead of vanilla ice cream, full-fat yogurt adds a creamy texture and a touch of tang, while the addition of turmeric lends an earthy depth of flavor. The banana syrup yields more than needed for a single drink, so indulge in the leftovers by topping pancakes and waffles.

Ingredients
- 2 ounces Seedlip Spice 94
- 1 ounce banana syrup
- 1/4 ounce freshly squeezed lime juice
- 1 tablespoon turmeric yogurt
- For the banana syrup:
- 2 banana peels
- 8 tablespoons light brown sugar
- For the turmeric yogurt:
- 1 tablespoon full-fat Greek yogurt
- 1/4 teaspoon ground turmeric
Instructions
- In a shaker, combine Seedlip Spice 94, banana syrup, freshly squeezed lime juice, and turmeric yogurt with a large ice cube or half-full regular ice cubes.
- Shake the ingredients until the ice breaks apart, approximately 10 seconds (whip shaking).
- Strain the mixture into a chilled coupe glass.
- For the banana syrup, rinse the banana peels and place them in a saucepan, covering them with water. Simmer over medium heat for 15 minutes, then let cool for 20 to 30 minutes. Strain the banana water, add 4 ounces back to the saucepan, and mix with light brown sugar. Simmer until the sugar is fully dissolved, then let cool.
- For the turmeric yogurt, mix the full-fat Greek yogurt and ground turmeric in a small bowl.
