Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups whole milk
  • 4 oz semisweet chocolate, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • Pinch of kosher salt
  • 3/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1-1.50 oz bourbon
  • Mini marshmallows or whipped cream, for serving
  • To rim the glasses (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon corn syrup
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped pecans

Instructions

  1. Heat the milk in a medium saucepan over medium-low heat until it simmers, whisking occasionally to prevent boiling.
  2. Whisk in the chopped chocolate, sugar, and salt, and cook until the mixture is smooth and creamy, and the chocolate is completely melted, approximately 5 minutes.
  3. Stir in the bourbon and vanilla extract, adjusting the bourbon amount to your taste.
