Bourbon Bittersweet Sour
A delightful twist on the classic Whiskey Sour with Evan Williams Single Barrel Bourbon, lemon juice, simple syrup, and a delicate spray of Angostura bitters topped with creamy foam.
Ingredients
- 2 ounces Evan Williams Single Barrel Bourbon
- 3/4 ounce lemon juice
- 3/4 ounce simple syrup (equal parts sugar and water)
- 1 small egg white
- 1 spray Angostura bitters
- Ice
Instructions
- In a mixing tin, combine the egg white and lemon juice, then dry shake.
- Add the bourbon and simple syrup to the tin.
- Add 5 Kold Draft ice cubes and shake vigorously 20 times.
- Double strain the mixture over ice into a rocks glass.
- Allow the egg white foam to separate and then gently spray Angostura bitters on top of the foam.
- Express a lemon peel over the glass and garnish with the peel and a brandied cherry.
