Ingredients
- 1/2 pound watermelon chunks
- Juice of 1 1/4 lemons
- 1 1/2 sprigs fresh mint
- 6 ounces ice-cold water
- 1 tablespoon sugar (or to taste)
Instructions
- Line a sheet pan with parchment paper or wax paper and set aside.
- Remove the rind from the watermelon and discard. Cut the watermelon fruit into one or two-inch chunks and place onto the prepared sheet pan in a single layer, leaving space between each piece of fruit.
- Transfer the sheet pan to the freezer and allow the watermelon to freeze for at least 30 minutes.
- Juice the lemons and remove the mint leaves from the stems.
- Add the frozen watermelon chunks, lemon juice, fresh mint leaves, ice-cold water, and sugar to a blender.
- Pulse until the ingredients are uniform and smooth, creating a thick and frosty mixture resembling a slushy.
- Pour the frozen watermelon mint lemonade into a glass and serve immediately with a straw and more fresh mint if desired.
