Ingredients
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 vanilla bean (split and seeds scraped out)
- 3 earl grey tea bags (or 3 tsp loose tea)
- 1 oz Whiskey (Jamesons)
- 1 oz lemon juice
- 1 oz earl grey vanilla simple syrup
- 1/2 oz egg white
- 1 twist lemon peel
- 1 handful ice cubes
Instructions
- To make the earl grey vanilla simple syrup, bring water, sugar, and vanilla beans to a boil, then add the teabags and let steep for 5 minutes. Remove the tea bags and let the syrup cool.
- In a cocktail shaker, combine whiskey, lemon juice, earl grey vanilla simple syrup, and egg white. Shake for 20 seconds.
- Add ice to the shaker and shake for an additional 10 seconds.
- Strain and pour the mixture into a cocktail tumbler.
- Add ice and garnish with a twist of lemon peel.
