Ingredients
- 1 1/2 tbsp sugar
- 1/2 inch thinly sliced fresh ginger
- 10 oz fresh brewed tea
- 2 oz moscato
- 1 slice candied ginger
- ice cubes
Instructions
- In a small pot, bring sugar and 1/2 cup water to a boil.
- Remove from heat and add fresh ginger, steep for about 7 minutes.
- Strain syrup and discard ginger. Allow syrup to cool completely, about 10 minutes.
- In a pitcher, combine syrup and tea. Cover and refrigerate until chilled, at least 2 hours or up to 2 days.
- Fill a tall glass with ice cubes.
- Add the ginger tea, then top with moscato.
- Serve with a slice of candied ginger on the rim, if desired.
