Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 tbsp sugar
  • 1/2 inch thinly sliced fresh ginger
  • 10 oz fresh brewed tea
  • 2 oz moscato
  • 1 slice candied ginger
  • ice cubes

Instructions

  1. In a small pot, bring sugar and 1/2 cup water to a boil.
  2. Remove from heat and add fresh ginger, steep for about 7 minutes.
  3. Strain syrup and discard ginger. Allow syrup to cool completely, about 10 minutes.
  4. In a pitcher, combine syrup and tea. Cover and refrigerate until chilled, at least 2 hours or up to 2 days.
  5. Fill a tall glass with ice cubes.
  6. Add the ginger tea, then top with moscato.
  7. Serve with a slice of candied ginger on the rim, if desired.
