Ingredients
- 1 large egg
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1/4 cup half & half
- 1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- A pinch of ground cloves
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 tablespoons heavy whipping cream
Instructions
- In a saucepan, combine the egg, sugar, and half & half.
- Whisk the mixture over low heat until it reaches a temperature of 150°F (66°C), stirring constantly to prevent the mixture from cooking on the bottom.
- Once the desired temperature is reached, remove from heat and stir in the cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, vanilla extract, and heavy whipping cream until well combined.
- Chill the eggnog in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours before serving.
