Ingredients

  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1/4 cup half & half
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • A pinch of ground cloves
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons heavy whipping cream

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, combine the egg, sugar, and half & half.
  2. Whisk the mixture over low heat until it reaches a temperature of 150°F (66°C), stirring constantly to prevent the mixture from cooking on the bottom.
  3. Once the desired temperature is reached, remove from heat and stir in the cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, vanilla extract, and heavy whipping cream until well combined.
  4. Chill the eggnog in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours before serving.
  5. Serve chilled and enjoy!
