Relaxing Book Club Sangria
A delightful, fruity wine punch with a sweet-tart flavor, perfect for social gatherings or relaxing afternoons.
Ingredients
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 5 oz fruity red wine, such as pinot noir
- 1/2 oz brandy
- 1/2 oz fresh orange juice
- 1/2 oz fresh lemon juice
- 1/2 oz fresh lime juice
- 2 oz ginger ale
- 1/4 cup fresh pineapple chunks
- 1 thin slice each of orange, lemon, and lime
- 1/4 fresh peach, pitted and sliced
Instructions
- In a small pot, bring sugar and 1/2 cup of water to a boil, then cook until the sugar dissolves; remove from heat.
- Transfer the sugar syrup to a pitcher and let it cool to room temperature.
- Add the red wine, brandy, and citrus juices to the pitcher, then cover and refrigerate.
- Just before serving, stir in the ginger ale, pineapple chunks, citrus slices, and peach.
- Pour into an ice-filled glass, garnish with some of the fruit, and serve immediately.
