Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup fresh cranberries
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 1/2 oz vodka
  • 1 1/2 oz pomegranate juice
  • 1/2 oz freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • Soda water
  • Fresh cranberries and pomegranate arils for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan over medium-high heat, combine cranberries, sugar, and water. Bring to a boil.
  2. Reduce heat to medium-low and let simmer for 10 minutes until the cranberries start bursting.
  3. Strain the juice into a heat-proof bowl, leaving the solids behind, and place the bowl in the fridge to cool.
  4. Fill a glass with ice and pour in the vodka, pomegranate juice, and lemon juice.
  5. Add 1 1/2 oz. of the cranberry simple syrup to the glass and top it off with soda water.
  6. Garnish with fresh cranberries and pomegranate arils.
