Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter (room temperature)
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/8 teaspoon fine sea salt
  • 2 oz. dark rum
  • 3/4 cup hot water
  • Cinnamon stick (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine room temperature butter, brown sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and salt.
  2. Use an electric hand mixer to beat the ingredients together until well combined, scraping the sides of the bowl as needed.
  3. For one serving, add 2 tablespoons of the spice batter to a mug.
  4. Pour in 2 oz of dark rum and top with 3/4 cup hot water.
  5. Stir until well combined.
  6. Garnish with a cinnamon stick and serve immediately.
