Ingredients

  • Lime wedge, for garnish or rimming
  • Coarse sea salt, for rimming
  • Freshly grated lime and orange zest, for rimming
  • 2 ounces tequila (preferably reposado)
  • 1 ounce freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 1 ounce freshly squeezed orange juice
  • 1 ounce orange liqueur (preferably Cointreau or Grand Marnier)
  • 1/2 ounce simple syrup
  • Ice

Instructions

  1. If desired, garnish the glass with a salted rim by moistening the rim with water and dipping it into a mixture of coarse sea salt and zests, or by running a lime slice along the rim and dipping it in the salt mixture.
  2. In a cocktail shaker, combine the tequila, lime juice, orange juice, orange liqueur, simple syrup, and ice.
