Ingredients

  • Ice
  • 2 ounces vodka
  • 2 ounces pink cranberry juice cocktail
  • 1 ounce black cherry juice
  • 1 ounce grenadine
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • Candied blood for rim
  • Vampire teeth for garnish
  • 2 tablespoons black cherry juice
  • 2 tablespoons light corn syrup
  • 10 drops red food coloring

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan over medium-high heat, combine light corn syrup and black cherry juice, bringing it to a boil and then reducing to a simmer for about 5 minutes.
  2. Allow the mixture to cool to room temperature. Alternatively, refrigerate the syrup for 20-30 minutes for a quicker cooling process.
  3. Add red food coloring to the syrup and stir to combine. The viscous "blood" will be ready to stay in droplets on or near the rim of the glass for an extended period.
  4. Using a spoon, tap a small amount of the candied blood along the rim of your glass, allowing it to drip down.
  5. In a tall glass or cocktail shaker, combine ice, vodka, pink cranberry juice, black cherry juice, grenadine, and lime juice. Stir or shake for about 20 seconds.
  6. Strain the mixture into a prepared cocktail glass and garnish with plastic vampire teeth.
