Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Rosé Wine
  • 1 cup Watermelon Cubes, seedless
  • 1 tablespoon Sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Water

Instructions

  1. Pour the rosé wine into an ice cube tray and freeze until firm, for at least 6 hours; they should still be somewhat slushy.
  2. Cube the seedless watermelon and freeze on a parchment paper-lined sheet pan until firm, for at least 4 hours.
  3. Once the wine and watermelon cubes are frozen, transfer them to a plastic bag and freeze for up to a month.
  4. Make the simple syrup by combining sugar and water, then heating on the stovetop or in the microwave until the sugar dissolves.
  5. When ready to serve, transfer the frozen wine and watermelon to a blender and blend until smooth (let them defrost at room temperature for a few minutes if needed).
  6. Add the simple syrup gradually, tasting as you go, adjusting based on the natural sweetness of the wine and fruit.
